Armando Iannucci created "Veep", a hit series on a fake vice president. But his future could be in making a movie about our true president, Donald Trump, in a dummy environment.
In a tweet that he sent Wednesday, Iannucci proposed this Hollywood blockbuster meant for:
The ironic message was very well received, retweeted thousands of times while receiving more than 45,000 "likes".
The Veep star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, whose character will again run for president next season, has embarked.
Actor Rob Delaney of "Catastrophe" and "Deadpool 2" participated.
So Iannucci asked the internet, and after?
And the author "Harry Potter" J.K. Rowling replied:
Twitter users have offered titles such as "The Untrue Man Show" and "The Trumpman Show" in reference to "The Truman Show," the 1998 film in which Truman, Jim Carrey's character, lived without his knowledge.
But a title seduced Iannucci: "Fake America Great Again."
Another plot was revealed Wednesday, resembling a film but apparently real: a New York Times editorial written anonymously by a senior White House official claimed that a resistance movement within the administration was aimed at preventing the president from making bad decisions.
We are not sure of having more funny possibilities.
