The army has taken note of Netflix's new show by comedian Hasan Minhaj, patriot actwhen he made his debut on Sunday.
Minhaj made a segment that cited offensive language – the term "black blood" – in an online manual for troops deployed in Saudi Arabia. He described the Saudi population as "mainly composed of descendants of indigenous tribes who have inhabited the peninsula since prehistoric times with a subsequent mixture of black blood from slaves imported from Africa".
Minhaj cracked: "Oh, America. Even in boring technical manuals, you always manage to be racist. "
Four days after the broadcast of the episode on Netflix, the US Central Command is excused.
"We regret that inappropriate information was posted on our website without a more complete review and we apologize to those who were offended," said Centcom spokesman Captain Bill Urban, according to a report in Stars and Stripes. "We withdrew the document as soon as we were notified and the document was returned to the Office of origin for review."
