Season 15 knockouts continue.
Knockouts of season 15 continues on NBC The voice On Tuesday night, with coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton, they will work with the season's main advisor, Mariah Carey, to prepare their artists for the competition. The artists sang songs of their choice and the coaches were given the opportunity to steal an artist from another coach or save an artist.
The first couple came from Jennifer: Franc West and Tyshawn Colquitt. West sang The Weeknd's "Call Out My Name," and he made the song his own with powerful phrasing and creative sensitivity mixing genres. He let out just enough rasp, giving a dynamic performance.
Colquitt chose a similar song, mixing genre and genre, about Zayn's "Pillow Talk." He presented an impressive lineup, but some passages were excessive during the rehearsal, on which Carey worked with him in time for the final performance, which was complete. He hit the high notes, but it was not enough to win. Hudson chose West and Colquitt returned home.
Abby Cates and Claire Dejean of the Kelly team went up next. DeJean sang "Shawn Mendes", a song that was difficult to sing, but she did well. Her pitch was not perfect, but the ambitious choice of the song helped her to stand out.
Cates appeared as the most experienced singer, playing his own song "Due of You", which was also an ambitious choice. She gave a strong lyric performance and one of the best performances of the night. Clarkson chose Cates as the winner and Dejean was eliminated.
Dave Fenley and Kameron Marlow of Team Blake followed with two strong national performances. Fenley sang "Stuck on You" by Lionel Richie, and he has good lyrics and great performance skills, but the voice is nothing special.
Marlowe sang "I Shot the Sheriff" by Bob Marley, who was a solid song choice, showing that he can do more than just standard country songs. That helped him stand out in the Blake team, but Shelton tended to stick to single country singers and unsurprisingly chose Fenley as the winner. Levine flew in, adding Marlowe to the Adam team.
