Officials in Yellowstone National Park blamed a filmed man walking near the Old Faithful Geyser, where he was in danger of getting burned by the boiling water that breaks out every hour.

VISITOR OF YELLOWSTONE WHO HAS TRAINED THE BISON ARRÊTÉ, SAYS OFFICIAL

The actions of man between the eruptions surprised a crowd of a few hundred people at the park's most famous attraction. At one point he was lying on the ground near the gurgling hole.

"A group of the crowd thought it was going to jump in. We did not know what was going to happen," said Ashley Lemanski of Harbor Beach, Mich., Who made the video on Friday.

The man appeared to urinate on the geyser while a ranger shouted at him several times to get himself safe. The Rangers caught him after he finally returned on the walks nearby, Lemanski said.

TOURISM IN HAWAII IS DESIGNED FOR THE HARASSMENT OF DANGEROUS ANIMALS

Yellowstone spokesman Neal Herbert said on Monday that the Rangers had cited him leaving the sidewalks in a spa area. Herbert did not have the identity of the man.

Just like the majestic wildlife and nature of Yellowstone, tourists who behave badly have become a target for cameras. A man captured in August on a video harassing a bison in Yellowstone was sentenced to more than four months in jail for the incident and other drunken behaviors in Grand Teton National Park.

If the Old Faithful man got up on the subject, he was not the first. Two seasonal park workers were fired after being photographed on a webcam in 2009.
