There are still strong red tides in the counties of Pinellas, Manatee and North Sarasota

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, high red tide concentrations continue to affect Pinellas, Manatee and North Sarasota counties.

The latest report of the Federal Forestry Committee shows that Karenia brevis, the body behind the red tide, has increased in all three counties compared to last week.

High concentrations were also observed in Bay counties north and south of Brevard north of St. Lucie counties on the east coast.

Cases of fish loss have been reported in Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Collier counties.

Respiratory irritation was reported last week in Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota counties.
