They found the dog with a headband on the muzzle, cutting right up to the bone, say deputies.

Columbia, South Carolina (WLTX) – Two poodles were found in poor condition in a Richland County home, one of which required surgery. Now, a couple is in detention.

Allen Kinlaw, 49, and Dana Kinlaw, 49, have been charged with Cruelty to Crime and Crime.

A 7-month-old poodle was found with a black band twisted twice around the snout. The band, which had been there for several days, went through the dog's skin to the bone, causing an infected wound. He had to be removed surgically.

MPs also met a 14-year-old poodle at the same place. They describe the dog as very thin with a large tumor on the side. The dog could not see because his hair was so tangled and invaded by the eyes. Feces were also stuck to the back of the dog.

Both dogs are now with a rescue.
