Tiger Woods has a lot of work on Saturday by taking part in the third round of the BMW Championship at the Aronimink Golf Club, near Philadelphia.

Woods, in a group of eight players at 8 under par, kicked off the day with five shots behind Xander Schauffele in the penultimate round of the FedExCup playoffs.

Woods entered the week in 25th place in the FedExCup standings and will have to stay close to staying in the top 30 to qualify for the Tour Championship in two weeks, the PGA Tour season finale.

Woods started at 1 pm ET with Ted Potter Jr. and Ryan Armor.

Because of the rain that fell during the night, the tournament resumed start times of 3 hours and 25 minutes and sent groups in three by two. Players will be allowed to lift, clean and place on the fairways. There are birdies to do on the day of the move.

Hole 3 – By 4

Woods takes the rider out again and divides the fairway again, 285 yards from the start, 157 yards through the hole.

Hole 2 – By 4

Another nice shot from start, 294 yards in the center of the fairway, leaving 102 yards to the hole. Another solid approached the 11-foot hole, though Tiger was hoping to get the ball back to the hole. The putt will be a little downhill, but the green forgive. Boom, and it's a birdie-birdie start for Tiger. 2 to 2 (10 cents for the tournament).

Hole 1 – By 4

Tiger's tee shot with the driver finds the right side of the fairway. A good start. The approach, from 144 yards, lands on the soggy green and stops about 12 feet from the hole. The birdie putt finds the bottom of the cup. A good start indeed. 1 under 1 (9 sous for the tournament).
