Happy birthday, Prince Charles!

The British king is 70 on Wednesday and the festivities have already begun.

Here is how the prince celebrates his birthday and what he still planned:

The prince's special day began on Tuesday with new family portraits. The photos of Chris Jackson show Charles with his wife Camilla, his sons Prince William and Prince Harry, their wives, the Duchess Kate and the Duchess Meghan, and his grandchildren: Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte and 6 months . old prince Louis.

On Wednesday, Charles received a "sincere tribute" from the Welsh Guards Band, through a "happy birthday" played in the main courtyard of Buckingham Palace.

"We salute you and thank you for your continued support of @BritishArmy staff members and their families," said the British Army in London on his Twitter account. "Happy Birthday!"

Charles will also have tea on Wednesday with a group of people who will also be 70 this year. He will then attend an evening hosted by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, at Buckingham Palace.

The prince also shared his ecologist views in the latest issue of Country Life magazine on Wednesday, calling people not to take the natural world for granted, but to "think of the future to what our grandchildren will want and need ".
