You may be wondering why you are invited to register to vote on all social media. Well, today is National Voters Registration Day.
With the upcoming mid-term elections and the various voter registration dates across the October states, September 25 focuses on strengthening the number of voters eligible to vote in November. It began in 2012, with organizers boasting over 750,000 voters across the 50 states as a result of its 2016 push.
Now, your favorite websites and apps help you register from your living room or wherever you are, without having to go to the registrar's office or find a stamp.

The "Google Doodle" graphic on the The main Google page will take you to the search term, "How to Register to Vote," and links to your local registry office, as well as ways to do it online.
Offers a shareable link allowing friends to sign in via TurboVote directly from the news feed.
Has a link to the voter registration day in the users' time frame, HBO sponsoring the #NationalVoterRegistrationDay hashtag and also offers a text-to-register option.
Snapchat
The link to register is on the Snapchat user profile page. In addition, new filters have been added to advertise the registration.
The popular social network greets visitors with a pop-up message that refers to nationalvoterregistrationday.org. They also host several AMA (or Ask Me Anything) with electoral experts. You can check the range here.
Lyft
The transportation service sent an e-mail to customers with a link to online registration and announced that it would offer a 50% discount on November 6, polling day, to help people go to the polls. "areas or places where there are" significant obstacles "to the stand.
Meanwhile, celebrities and media also made their voices heard, using their personality cult to encourage fans to vote.
Just a little, however, voter registration online is not available in all 50 states. You can know here if your state is among the 37 that allow it.
