Take out your Kleenex. Twitter feed by writer and food writer Tucker Shaw has become viral and it brings all those who read it to cry.

Shaw tells a conversation that he has heard with two young gay men about AIDS. One of the men said that the horrific years in which gay men were dying by the thousands "galvanized the gay community" and "paved the way to make things better in the long run."

As Shaw points out, "the long run" did not exist long ago.
