An American Airlines baggage handler fell asleep at work and ended up traveling in the luggage hold of a flight from Kansas City, Missouri to Chicago this week.
What happened: The Kansas City International Airport employee, who was reported to be working for his Piedmont Airlines subsidiary and admitted to being drunk, took a nap in the cargo hold of US cargo ship 363 on 27 October.
- Nobody noticed that he was gone.
- The flight left the airport at 05:52 local time. The employee was still in the plane at takeoff, officials said at USA Today.
- The police discovered the employee only when the plane landed at O'Hare International Airport at 0730.
- The man was not charged. He was sent back to Kansas City on a separate American flight, reports NBC News.
