And yet, this is exactly what Old Homestead, a steakhouse in New York City, is offering this year with what it calls the most expensive Thanksgiving dinner in history, breaking the dinner record of 76,000 $ offered last year.
This year's dinner, with a total price of $ 150,000, is nearly three times higher than the average household income in the United States. It contains all the finest ingredients in the world, as well as the keys to a Maserati Levante 2018 nestled in an envelope of $ 135 per pound. On the eve of Thanksgiving, Old Homestead had sold a package that she intended to serve at a New Jersey customer. Dinner must be paid in advance by cash or certified check, according to Sherry. Last year, Sherry said she was able to sell four dinners for $ 76,000.
