The good news is that the National Weather Service has canceled a wind advisory in the Bay Area.
"Parts of cities and towns are considered extreme fire risk, and this initiative is aimed at mitigating the risk of forest fires and ensuring the safety of our customers," said the spokeswoman. PG & E speech, Deanna Contreras.

Many local officials believe that the public service had no choice after the devastating fires of last year.
"This is going to cause problems here, but we are trying to avoid what happened last year," said James Gore, Sonoma County Supervisor.

CalFire did not determine the cause of the deadly Tubbs Fire fire from last year, which destroyed thousands of homes in Sonoma County. But a recent CalFire report blamed a dozen forest fires in 2017 for PG & E equipment between Napa and Humbolt County.
According to PG & E, approximately 415 customers in Sonoma County will be affected, 5,700 in Napa County and about 11,000 in Lake County.

The City of Calistoga has been informed that planned power outages will affect approximately 2,300 customers in Calistoga.
The utility indicates that the restoration of power can take up to 24 hours or more, as crews must physically inspect power lines to make sure they are safe before to be able to be reactivated.
