LOS ANGELES – Three suspects were charged Tuesday for kidnapping two people in a Los Angeles home and detaining one of them naked in a bathtub for 30 hours, while asking the other to pay a ransom of $ 10,000. Keith Andre Stewart, Johntae Jones and Amber Neal were charged with kidnapping, assault with firearms and other offenses related to the May 3rd incident.

Prosecutors allege that the trio went to the home of Daisy McCrackin in southeastern Los Angeles on May 3, where they say Stewart whipped a man who was at home, Joseph Capone. In addition to the charges of kidnapping and firearm, Stewart is also charged with causing great bodily harm to Capone.

The three men then placed bags on the heads of the two victims and drove them several kilometers to Jones' house in Compton, prosecutors said. Once at Jones' home, the suspects forced Capone to undress and kept him in a tub for 30 hours without food, according to prosecutors.

Investigators said that Jones and Neal took McCrackin's car and drove it to several banks. while demanding that she pay $ 10,000 for the release of Capone. Eventually, she was forced to write a check for $ 10,000 to Neal, according to the attorneys.

The next day, they brought back McCrackin – an actress who appeared in several movies including the horror film "Halloween: Resurrection" – at her home, where she escaped and called the police, the authorities said.

Jones and Neil were detained for $ 1 million each and Stewart was detained for more than $ 2 million bail, prosecutors said. In the event of conviction, they may all be sentenced to life imprisonment.
