What would the Egg Bowl be if the state of Mississippi and Ole Miss were not getting a little spirited?
At Thursday's meeting, the 115th Egg Bowl opposing these two rivals, each player from both teams was penalized on a game – a game that did not even count at the end.
As time worsened in the third quarter and the Bulldogs held a 28-3 lead over the Rebels, quarterback Ole Miss Matt Corral connected to wide receiver A.J. Brown for an impressive touchdown.
After training defenders from the Mississippi State with him in the end zone, Brown came up and was part of a back and forth between the players of both teams. He finally threw a punch, and Corral found himself struggling with Jamal Peters from the state of Mississippi while the benches of both teams were emptying.

In addition to penalties for each player, Peters and Bulldogs cornerback Cameron Dantzler were sent off as well as Rebels defenseman C.J. Moore.
Earlier in the game, Peters overthrew the Ole Miss crowd when he was booed during an injury stop.
As the game arrived after the expiration of the third quarter clock, the Brown touchdown was removed from the chart.
