Ticketmaster giant Ticketmaster responded to a covert investigation by CBC News and the Toronto Star, calling the publications reports of the collusion of tickets-scalper "categorically wrong".

It is categorically wrong that Ticketmaster has put in place a program allowing resellers to purchase large volumes of tickets to the detriment of consumers.

The Ticketmaster Vendor Code of Conduct specifically prohibits resellers from purchasing tickets that exceed the posted ticket limit for an event. A recent CBC article revealed that an employee in Ticketmaster's resale division recognized that some resellers had up to 200 TradeDesk accounts for this purpose (TradeDesk is the Ticketmaster professional reseller product that allows resellers to validate and distribute tickets in several markets). The company had already begun an internal review of its professional reseller accounts and practices to ensure that all of our stakeholders adhere to our policies. In the future, we will put in place additional measures to proactively monitor this type of inappropriate activity.
