PARIS – Tiger Woods returns to the Ryder Cup for the first time in six years with a first-day match with one of the best Americans in the competition, Patrick Reed.
They will face Open Francesco Molinari of Italy and England's Tommy Fleetwood in the final match of the four-ball match.

The Ryder Cup has 28 matches, including eight on Friday and eight on Saturday, followed by 12 singles on Sunday. The United States needs 14 points to keep the Cup while Europe needs 14½ to win.
The order of the four balls and foursomes was determined by Europe, with four-ball matches taking place in the morning and quartets in the afternoon the first two days.
Sitting the first session for Americans will be Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Webb Simpson and Bubba Watson. Sergio Garcia, Alex Noren, Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson will be watching Europeans.
No captain would disclose when he plans to use all his players on Friday.
