Tim Allen says that he's actually more anarchist than Republican

Tim Allen has been on a right-wing kick lately (or, you know, forever), noting last March that the real Nazis are the Hollywood liberals who think that wrong for some reason when people are Republicans. Later, when his Last man standing the sitcom was canceled, he argued that the pro-man program of the show was too "dangerous" for ABC and that his message about a man who was not afraid of rolling eyes at anti-weapon hippies was far too important. The clear implication was that he was a Trump supporter, but when Fox announced that he was relaunching Last man standing, the network has made it clear that it did not intend to woo the controversy by asking directly whether or not Allen's character was a Trumper.

Apparently, the real Tim Allen also takes a similar position, claiming in a new Weekly entertainment interview that he is really more an "anarchist" than a democrat or republican. Allen argues that he supports only a government that "actually does what we pay them" and hates paying taxes or other things that appear to be Republican only because not trust the government to use these taxes properly. He also argues asking people to actively try to improve things they want to improve, rather than "putting on a hoodie and shouting in the street" to try to convince our elected officials to do what we pay them.

EW He specifically asked if he was a supporter of Trump, and Allen offered an unqualified response that all Trump supporters love to do when they do not want anyone to make fun of them. Basically, his position is that Trump deserves a chance because what he has accomplished so far is "like a slight helping hand". Allen says Trump does not work "very attractively," but the economy is doing better. He likes to sit and watch "the theater," so it does not matter if he likes Trump or not.

Of course, he arrives at a place where the privileges are enormous. Tim Allen is a white man with a lot of money, so he is free to sit and watch "the theater" because no one locks his child in a cage and tries to deport him. Nobody tries to pay so much attention that he has no choice but to wait until he dies in excruciating pain. Nobody stops him without trial. Nobody throws him paper towels as he tries to resume his life after a hurricane. Tim Allen may think he's anarchist and that Trump deserves a chance, but it's only because he really cares about him. Allen can dress him up as he sees fit, but that does not differentiate him from other Trump supporters.
