The UFC closes out 2018 with UFC 232, a card that features two title fights. On Friday, Nov. 2, the promotion holds its first press conference for that event. Each of the participants in those titles will be hand in hand for the media event.
UFC 232's headliner features a light heavyweight matchup between champion Jon Jones and two-time 205-pound title challenger Alexander Gustafsson. With Daniel Cormier in possession of the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles, the UFC plans to strip Cormier of his 205-pound crown the moment the cage closed behind Jones and Gustafsson at UFC 232. The man who leaves the octagon as the victor on fight night will walk away with that title.
UFC 232 takes place on Dec. 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
In the co-main event, UFC women's featherweight champ Cris Cyborg puts his title in the line in a superfight against women's bantamweight field Amanda Nunes. Cyborg has been defended in 2005 by Nunes, who captured the bantamweight crown with a first-round submission of Miesha Tate in 2016, hopes to join Cormier and Conor McGregor UFC titles at the same time.
