The LAPD is questioning witnesses after Tom Arnold filed a police report about a alleged altercation between him and Mark Burnett, Fox News reported on Tuesday.

The LAPD told Fox News that they had received Arnold's police report and were reviewing the case and questioning witnesses, as they would after anyone had filed a report.

Arnold claims that the producer "Survivor" strangled him at a pre-Emmys party on Sunday night and that Kevin Bacon and his daughter Sosie have witnessed the alleged fight.

"Sitting in the West LAPD laying charges against your best friend, Apprentice Outtakes Mark Burnett who lost his head, attacked and shocked me last night at Katzenberg's Night Before The Emmy Party.) #TrumpTapes, "Arnold tweeted in response to Donald Trump on Monday.

While Burnett, who declined to comment on Fox News, did not speak publicly about the case, his wife, Roma Downey, shared a photo of a bruise on his hand that she said , came from Arnold.

"I had that blue tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop, "she said.

TMZ reported Monday that Arnold charged Burnett and Downey as soon as the actor saw them at the party. Arnold would have pushed Burnett who pushed him back and that's when Arnold snatched Burnett's crucifix necklace from his neck.

Vice announced that Arnold would be featured in a new show called "The Trump Tape Hunt" and would investigate the president's rumor recordings.

The series of eight episodes follows Arnold as he searches for supposedly trump records that would be potentially damaging. He interviews stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penn Jillette, Judd Apatow and Rosie O'Donnell, as well as former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.

Arnold claimed that Trump had used the word N and that he was "obviously racist," adding that the president's takeover of the NFL is due to the fact that he "does not like blacks".

Arnold's focus is on Burnett, who is behind hit series such as "Shark Tank" and "The Bible."

"I will continue to pound Mark Burnett until he shows America [the tapes]Arnold said during the Television Critics Association's press tour in July. "He sits next to Donald Trump and gives him a blanket and he never says a word. People are at the border. They tear off their children. It's cruel … and Mark Burnett says he's a Christian.
