Tom Hardy says his favorite favorites, "30 to 40 minutes," were cut

It seems Venom will not arrive in theaters as his star Tom Hardy expected.

The 41-year-old British actor revealed that some of his favorite scenes from the PG-13 rated movie had been cut before its release.

"There are scenes that are not in this movie," Hardy said in an interview with ComicsExplained. "There are about 30 to 40 minutes of scenes that do not appear in this film."

His costar, Rice Ahmed, laughed and asked, "Were they your favorites?"

"All, yeah," Hardy admitted. "Crazy puppet scenes, scenes of dark comedies that never showed up."

Ahmed, 35, intervened and said, "That's what you enjoyed filming."

"What you said does not mean they were good, is it good?" Hardy asked him. "Are you saying that they were not good?

Shrugging, Ahmed played and said, "Sometimes. Well, if they do not come in the movie, they're not good, brother. I hate breaking it.

Jokingly, he added: "We all had a meeting and we looked at it and we said to ourselves:" Tom loved it so much, but it was not … " was not what you thought. "

The film's executive producer, Matt Tolmach, has dismantled rumors that Venom was supposed to be rated R, saying to comicbook.com: "There is no ghost version of the movie.

"Everyone asks us. Is there an R-rated cut sitting there? There is not one.

In the next fallout from the Spider-MaIn his franchise (Venom is a famous villain in comics), Hardy plays the journalist Eddie Brock. While investigating the mysterious Life Foundation led by Carlton Drake (Rice Ahmed), Eddie was infected by one of the extraterrestrial creatures in Carlton's lab, turning him into a titular anti-hero.
