The star of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Tom Holland revealed the title of Spider-Man 2 in an Instagram post Saturday, apparently by accident. According to the first page of a screenplay, Holland waved the camera, the working title is "Spider-Man: Far From Home".
The question of whether the revelation was really an accident is the subject of a debate – Marvel could simply play on the well-known penchant of the Dutch for having almost spoiled spoilers during press tours. The video was accompanied by the shameless legend, "Sorry for any ad, but I love you guys."
"Far From Home" will mark Marvel's next film after "Avengers 4" and premiere on July 5, 2019, two months after the "Infinity War". Few details of the plot are known except that Peter Parker will deal with the aftermath of the war of infinity.
Jake Gyllenhaal should play the role of the evil Mysterio. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the script, with Jon Watts of "Homecoming" coming back to direct.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" was, in Marvel's films, a critical darling, and earned more than $ 880 million worldwide for Sony-Marvel.
Marvel Studios is the next first "Ant-Man and The Wasp" July 6th. "Captain Marvel" by Brie Larson will follow on March 8, 2019, leading to the second half of "Infinity War" in May, "Avengers 4."
