Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis put together one of the best fights of the year last night (Sat., Oct. 6, 2018) at UFC 229 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, only to see a stoppage call to end the action after the second round.
Ferguson, who was returning from knee surgery just a few months ago, looked a little off in the early going. Goal in the second round, "El Cucuy" let loose and Pettis responded. They traded kicks, punches, elbows, and spinning techniques of all shapes and sizes. "Showtime" put Ferguson in serious trouble, but the former coach pulled out Pettis' face at will. In between the second and third rounds, the second-round TKO grant.

With this performance, Ferguson extends his streak to 11-straight in the crowded light-weight division and proves he deserves a true title fight his next time out. Few can withstand the pressure of "El Cucuy"
