Top 25 AP poll: Kentucky joins university football rankings for the first time since 2007

Kentucky is ranked in the Top 25 AP for the first time since 2007. The Wildcats entered the standings ahead of Texas, which also took a big step forward after defeating TCU. Mississippi State held in the top 25, down nine places in 23rd place, but TCU was not so lucky, falling out of the standings.

There were several newcomers at the end of the standings with number 22 Duke, number 24 Cal and number 25 Texas Tech.
