If you're hoping for a harmonious Thanksgiving dinner in the current political climate, avoid some topics, according to Stephen Colbert.
"Another beloved Thanksgiving tradition is stronger than ever: arguing at the table," remarked The show late referring to a study conducted in 2017 by the Pew Research Center and suggesting that Americans are more divided than ever with regard to parties.
"So, I would avoid controversial topics such as politics, religion, sports, movies and how many voters, you have to buy cereals," Colbert said.
"Also, for God's sake, do not open the sweet potato / yam debate," he added, before plunging into the sweet potato and yam debate.
