It may be time to check your freezer and garage again.

This week's recalls focused on foods such as ham and beef, including a massive boost of millions of pounds on hundreds of beef products. Ready-to-eat ham products sold in five states have also been removed from the shelves. And an outbreak of salmonella linked to previously recalled eggs has increased, sickening two dozen more people.

For non-food items, Walmart will reimburse customers who bought a camping ax he recalled, and Toyota has recalled more than 2 million Prius hybrids that could stall while driving.

Here is an overview of the products recalled this week:

More than 6 million pounds of beef

JBS Tolleson from Tolleson, Arizona, recalled 6.5 million pounds of various beef products shipped throughout the country, as they could be contaminated with salmonella, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.

Investigators say that at least 57 people in 16 states said they became ill.

Hundreds of products are on the list. The USDA said the meat had been packed between July 26 and September 7. They carry the establishment number "EST. 267" inside the USDA inspection mark.

More than 89,000 pounds of ham

Johnston County, located in Smithfield, North Carolina, is recalling more than 89,000 pounds of ready-to-eat ham, which is reported to have been contaminated with listeria and resulted in one death and three illnesses.

Ready-to-eat spicy ham products have been shipped to distributors in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Maryland and Virginia.

The ham-based products were wrapped in plastic and carried one of five different labels, including "Johnston County Hams Inc., fully cooked country-style ham", "Boneless Brothers boneless country ham" and "Padow's Hams & Deli, Inc.". Country ham fully cooked, boneless, glazed with brown sugar. "

Hams labeled "Sugar processed in sugar with olive oil, Old Dominion Brand Premium Cooked Ham" and "Premium Cooked Ham with Less Salt, distributed by Valley Country Hams LLC "had specific payback dates from April 10 to September 27, 2019.

Nearly 250,000 Walmart roads

Walmart recalls 246,000 Ozark Trail camp axles because the ax head can come off the handle and pose a risk of injury.

The shafts feature a non-slip black handle and a claw feature. "Ozark Trail" and model number 60111140 are printed on the product packaging.

Consumers should return the ax to Walmart for a full refund.

More than 2 million Toyota Prius hybrids

Toyota recalls about 2.4 million hybrid cars in the world that could stall while driving. The recall involves approximately 807,000 Toyota Prius cars in the United States. It covers some 2010-2014 Prius hybrids and some 2012-2014 Prius V hybrids.

The defect occurs in "rare situations," Toyota said. This implies that the vehicle fails to "enter a fail-safe driving mode in response to some hybrid system failures".

The builder did not say whether he linked the problem to accidents, injuries or deaths.

In addition, Toyota also announced a recall on certain 2018 to 2019 Tundra vans and some Sequoia SUVs, as well as 2019 Avalon cars, to repair an air bag defect. This recall involves approximately 188,000 people worldwide, including 168,000 in the United States.

Salmonella outbreak linked to previously recalled eggs increases

Although not a new recall, a multi-state salmonella outbreak of eggs from Gravel Ridge Farms in Cullman, Alabama. expanded with 24 other people sick in five other states, said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Gravel Ridge Farms, in Cullman, Ala., Recalled its large, uncracked eggs last month, claiming that they could be contaminated. At the time, 14 people had been infected with the strain of Salmonella Enteritidis in Tennessee and Alabama.

Since then, the CDC has identified two more dozens of diseases from June 17 to August 16, some occurring in Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, and Montana.

The new cases bring the overall total to 38 people sick in seven states, according to the CDC.
