Toys R Us Revival Plan Revealed: Geoffrey the Giraffe Will Appear In Grocery Stores

Bricks and Mortar Toys "R" Us stores may be dead, but Geoffrey the Giraffe continues to live.

This month, Geoffrey's toy displays will appear in 600 Kroger Family of Stores, a chain of grocery stores and department stores across the country. The boxes will feature 35 toys at prices ranging from $ 19.99 to $ 49.99, including exclusive brands such as Animal Zone, Imaginarium, Girls Journey, Edu Science, You & Me and Just Like Home.

"Geoffrey's toy box offers a unique shopping destination in Kroger stores," Kroger Sales Manager Robert Clark said in a statement. "We are excited to offer Geoffrey's toy box in this holiday season to allow our customers to purchase a selection of toys that formerly belonged to Toys R Us."

Toys "R" Us closed all of its stores earlier this year after six decades of activity. But for loyal fans, there was good news last month; The Wayne-based retailer filed documents on Oct. 2 that canceled its bankruptcy auction and hinted that it was "a brand new operating company, Toys".
