De Niro is a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.
The police were called Thursday at 4:45 pm about the parcel that was on the seventh floor of the building.
Like most other packages, the return address was that of US Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, sources said. There is no information suggesting that she sent the parcels.
And, just like the other parcels, the one sent to De Niro had six American flag stamps arranged in two rows. No postmark is visible on the De Niro package, similar to some others, the sources said.
None of the bombs contained in the other packages blew up and no one was injured.
Before this package was reported, authorities said that bomb pipes concealed in kraft paper envelopes were discovered this week and addressed to seven critical critics of Trump: former President Barack Obama; former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; former Attorney General Eric Holder; Democratic Republic of the United States Maxine Waters; former CIA Director John Brennan (sent to CNN's New York office); former Vice President Joe Biden; and the billionaire investor and Democratic donor George Soros.
The Trump review by De Niro
At the Tony Awards in June, De Niro released the screenplay with a Bruce Springsteen performance to curse Trump.
"First of all, I mean" Trump ", said De Niro. "This is no longer" Down with Trump ", it's" Trump. "
Trump responded to the comments in a series of tweets, calling De Niro "an individual whose IQ is very low".
It was not the first time De Niro had spoken against the president.
In January, his speech at the National Board of Review's annual awards gala included a desecration speech against Trump.
"Our chief baby – the ***, I call him, has besieged the press, ridiculing him and trying to discredit him with scandalous attacks and lies," De Niro said. . "This idiot is the president. This is "The new clothes of the emperor" – this guy is a fool … our baby in chief – the "J ****** – in chief" I call him. "
Lisa France, Sarah Aarthun and Megan Thomas from CNN contributed to this report.
