Helene, who trained Friday night, is expected to bring Sunday tropical storm conditions to the Cabo Verde Islands off the coast of Africa. From 11 pm ET Saturday, Helen was located 155 miles southeast of the southernmost islands of Cabo Verde.

Helen could dump two to four inches of rain on the Cabo Verde Islands, with distances of up to six inches in isolated locations, until Sunday. Flash floods are possible.

Florence is still moving slowly and could soon become a hurricane, the National Meteorological Center said. As of 11 pm Saturday, Florence had sustained maximum winds of 70 mp and was located about 790 miles southeast of Bermuda.

The storm is expected to head to the east coast of the United States, although the exact path is still unclear. North Carolina and South Carolina have both declared the state of emergency in preparation.
