A new system in the tropics located east of the Caribbean Sea will monitor the next few days.
Here are the latest news from the National Hurricane Center:
A tropical wave located several hundred kilometers east of Lesser
The West Indies produce a vast but disorganized cloudy zone
and storms. The significant development of this system is not
expected over the next two days because of the higher level strength
the winds. However, the conditions should become a bit more difficult.
favorable by Tuesday, and a tropical or subtropical cyclone could
train in the middle of next week while the system is moving near or
north of Puerto Rico, Hispaniola and the southeastern Bahamas.
* Chance of training over a period of 48 hours … low … close to 0 percent.
* Chance of training through 5 days … average … 40 percent
Long-term and European GFS model solutions are moving this system east of the Bahamas at the end of the week.
