On September 11, 2018, President Donald Trump takes the leadership of Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, with First Lady Melania Trump en route to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, for the commemorative ceremony of Flight 9 / 11.

President Donald Trump has embarked on one of the most solemn days in the US calendar, as he begins many mornings: with a tweet criticizing his justice department.

Trump tweet

It was only after this tweet that the president shared a 9/11 message from White House social media director Dan Scavino with the messages "NeverForget" and "September 11th". He quickly followed this tweet with two other quotes from Fox Business and Fox News aimed at criticizing his Justice Department.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the president's tweets.

The tweets preceded Trump's trip to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where President and First Lady Melania Trump will attend a memorial of the hijacked Flight 93 that crashed on September 11, 2001. Despite Trump's plans, his morning tweets often does not recognize the seriousness of national moments.

After his tirade, Trump then thanked his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, for doing a "BIG job" as mayor of New York after the attack. He called Giuliani, who represents him in the investigation of Russia, a "TRUE WARRIOR!"
