On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 attacksPresident Trump celebrates the solemn occasion at Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Trump is joined Tuesday by Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and the families of the victims of the attack.

"Today, we mourn their loss, we share their story and we commemorate their incredible courage," said Trump about the Americans who perished on this fateful flight 17 years ago.

An open field in rural Pennsylvania was the last resting place for passengers aboard United Airlines flight 93 this morning in September, after three planes had already been transported to the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon to Arlington, in Virginia. Passengers and the crew stormed the cockpit after realizing that their plane was being used in the next attack. He crashed into the open area, killing everything on board.

"Your tears are not shed alone because they are shared with a whole nation," said the president.

New monument added to 2,200-acre memorial In honor of the heroes aboard this flight was dedicated Sunday.

"This field is now a monument to American distrust," said the president.
