CSenate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said that President Trump may need to file his tax returns, following a report that President Trump and his brothers and sisters allegedly participated in potentially fraudulent tax maneuvers.
Hatch said he was ready to investigate Trump's taxes, but that Trump's tax returns may have to be handed in during the process. Trump, infamous, did not disclose his tax returns when he ran for president in 2016, and has refused to do so since.
"I would be happy to consider the question. But for the moment, I do not know enough about it, "Hatch said of a review of potential tax violations, according to CNN.
"He may have to give up those returns," Hatch said.
Hatch asks me if the Finance Committee will monitor Trump's taxes after the NYT report. "I would be happy to consider the question. But for the moment, I do not know enough.

Senate Finance Committee member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., Also called on the IRS to initiate an investigation into these allegations.
According to the New York Times, Trump and his brothers and sisters would have created a fake company to hide millions of dollars in taxable income received as gifts by their parents. The Times also reported that Trump helped his father make inappropriate tax deductions.
Trump declined to comment to the Times. However, Trump's lawyer, Charles Harder, claimed that the allegations were "100% false and highly defamatory".
"There has been no fraud or tax evasion on the part of anyone," Harder said in a statement to The Times. "The facts on which the Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate."
Harder also stated that Trump had "virtually no involvement in these matters" and claimed that other Trump family members "who were not experts" had handled these issues.
