The Trump Organization filed a lawsuit to recover $ 90,000 in unpaid fees from a Trump Tower resident who died in a fire in April in the tower.
Trump Tower Condominium's board – through Trump Organization lawyer Sonja Talesnik – sued the Manhattan Supreme Court last Tuesday against the estate of Todd Brassner, 67, for the purpose of claim common charges and expenses. The New York Post reports that Brassner's heirs Todd and Heather Brassner have not responded to calls for comment.
The New York fire department said that the fire was accidental and that the Brassner apartment did not have a smoke detector. The apartment also did not have sprinklers, due to a gap in municipal regulations applying to high-rise buildings such as Trump Tower.
