Kanye West suffered a lot from his chest during his appearance on Saturday Night Live – and ended up putting some of the show's stars at ease, a source told PEOPLE.
The 41-year-old rapper finished the season with a third musical performance and a long speech about his support for President Donald Trump that was not aired.
"It hurt at ease for the casting and [host] Adam Driver by reminding them on the scene and not telling them why, then hitting them, "said the insider at PEOPLE.

The insider went on to explain that even though West's speech was not televised, the show was not trying to silence the outspoken musician.
"The series was already extinct when he started his speech. The source explodes, the source adds, adding that West's particular claim that he had been "bullied behind the scenes" about wearing the MAGA hat was not accurate.

Despite some of the negative reactions to West's speech, his family – including his wife Kim Kardashian West, 37 – did not seem at all bothered by the rant.

Responding to West, Trump's support tweeted Sunday, "Like many, I do not watch Saturday Night Live (even though I've been the host) – it's not funny anymore, neither talent nor charm.
