The reports of potential talks come as a growing tariff fight threatens to take more American companies, including the giant Apple. The United States and China have already imposed tariffs on $ 50 billion worth of goods from the other trading partner.

Trump plans to impose tariffs on an additional $ 200 billion in Chinese products. He recently said he was ready to apply additional tariffs on $ 267 billion worth of goods. China has threatened to retaliate in kind.
