President Donald Trump heads to Mississippi for his second Make America Great Again rally stop in October.

The president, who has been active during this midterm campaign season, scheduled five rallies in seven days to build support for Republican candidates in the midterm races. On Saturday, Trump held a rally in West Virginia before he headed to Johnson City, Tennessee, on Monday to show support for Republican Marsha Blackburn.

On Tuesday, the president travels to Southaven, Mississippi, to stump for Cindy Hyde-Smith, who was appointed to succeed Senator Thad Cochran. Hyde-Smith faces election challenges from Democrats Mike Espy and Tobey Bartee, as well as Republican Chris McDaniel, according to the Commercial Appeal.

In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Hyde-Smith said it was crucial that Republicans keep the Senate seat red this year.

“Well, I’ll tell you, this could be the difference between whether we remain in the majority. So it is very important in Mississippi,” Hyde-Smith said. She added that voters in the state were aware of how important the race was and were “ready to go out to vote.”

In a tweet posted on September 26, Hyde-Smith said she was “honored” the president was coming to her home state and campaigning on her behalf. “It has been a privilege to back his ‘America First’ agenda, and I look forward to welcoming him to DeSoto County!” she tweeted.

Mississippi’s Senate race has caught national attention because it could ultimately decide which party takes control of the Senate. If none of the candidates win a majority on Election Day, the top two face off again on November 27, McClatchy reported.

If any one party ends with a 50-49 control of the Senate, the Mississippi runoff election could be the deciding factor. But if control of the Senate splits at an even 50-50, then Vice President Mike Pence would get the deciding vote.

The president endorsed Hyde-Smith in August in a series of tweets. “[Hyde-Smith] has helped me put America First! She’s strong on the Wall, is helping me create Jobs, loves our Vets and fights for our conservative judges,” Trump tweeted.

He added: “Cindy has voted for our Agenda in the Senate 100% of the time and has my complete and total Endorsement. We need Cindy to win in Mississippi!”

Trump’s MAGA Southaven rally is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Landers Center. Doors to the venue open at 3:30 p.m., according to the president’s campaign website. You can watch a live stream of the Southaven rally here.
