“Well, I try. I do try,” Trump said when asked about an earlier promise not to lie. “And I always want to tell the truth. When I can, I tell the truth. And sometimes it turns out to be where something happens that’s different or there’s a change, but I always like to be truthful.”

Trump also discussed the migrant caravan in Mexico that is moving toward the U.S., saying it “almost looks like an invasion.”
The president said on said on Wednesday that he might deploy 15,000 troops to intercept the caravan at the U.S. border, a number higher than the troops deployed in Afghanistan.
In the ABC interview, he defended his decision, saying that “we have to have a wall of people.”
“You have caravans coming up that look a lot larger than it’s reported actually. I’m pretty good at estimating crowd size. And I’ll tell you they look a lot bigger than people would think,” Trump said.
Trump also claimed without providing evidence that the caravan, which has become a focus ahead of next week’s midterms, was “mostly men, and mostly young men – they are pushing the women right up to the front, not good, and the kids right up to the front.”
