Since the first Emmy Awards ceremony in 1949, thousands of shows have been nominated and rewarded with awards of excellence.

24/7 Wall St. found the 35 TV shows that have proven themselves on Emmy. Many had overall excellence over long durations of presence. Others had a shorter life span but dominated the award ceremonies to the point where they made history, ranking among the top echelons in the Emmy Awards.
