Weeks after other tech companies had kicked Jones out of their platforms, Twitter finally did the same. The social media company has announced that it has permanently banished the controversial conspiracy theorist, both his personal narrative and the narrative of his Infowars show. In a series of tweets, the company said:
Today, we have definitely suspended @realalexjones and @infowars on Twitter and Periscope. We took this action based on new reports from Tweets and videos posted yesterday that violate our abusive behavior policy, in addition to past account violations.
The "videos posted yesterday" probably refer to a Periscope video that Jones posted on a CNN reporter. Twitter's full statements on Jones and Inforwars"The permanent ban can be read below.
