Twitter goes crazy after Ted Cruz gets caught looking at photos of Beto O 'Rourke

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) seems to be watching the competition closely in the upcoming November elections, as the Republican is caught watching a picture of his rival, Democratic Rep. Beto O. Rourke.

Photos of Cruz looking at a web page displaying what appears to be an image of O 'Rourke during a flight between Texas and Washington, DC have flooded social media, and many have made jokes at Cruz's expense.

The photos, shared by Politico Playbook, were slammed Monday, after a week already difficult for Cruz.

Per Politico: Ted Cruz was seen on his phone while flying back from DC while watching a photo of Beto O 'Rourke.

The photo snafu comes during a grueling week for the senator, with his wife and himself being arrested Monday night in a Washington restaurant, about the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh in the Supreme Court.

The protesters followed Cruz and his wife, shouting, "We believe the survivors," at the Fiola Italian restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue, in a demonstration of support for Christine Blasey Ford, a professor at Palo Alto University, accusing Kavanaugh of having assaulted always in high school.

A protester also shouted "Beto is much hotter than you", while Cruz and his wife left the restaurant.

O 'Rourke came to Cruz's defense Tuesday, writing on Twitter that it was "not fair" that Cruz "and his wife Heidi were surrounded and forced to leave a restaurant last night because of the protesters ".
