Twitter has been repeatedly accused of a practice commonly referred to as "shading shadows", in which the platform de-emphasizes certain accounts in the search results. Republicans claimed that Conservative accounts were banned from the shadows; Twitter has repeatedly denied this claim.
"We firmly believe that we are impartial and strive to apply our rules impartially," said Mr. Dorsey in his prepared testimony. "In fact, from a simple business point of view and to serve the public conversation, Twitter is urged to keep all voices on the platform."
Dorsey went on to say that an analysis of data by Twitter, taking into account several factors, revealed that only one tweet of a Republican congressman is considered as many times as one. only tweet of a Democratic member of Congress.
