Two Kentucky high school girls suspended after being disguised as Columbine shooters for Halloween

Two high school students from Kentucky were suspended after being disguised as shooters of the Columbine High School for Halloween.

Two female students who attended Adair County High School in Columbia, Kentucky, went to class Wednesday, dressed in Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two teenage girls who opened fire at the school. Columbine High School High School in Littleton, Colorado, killing 12 students and a teacher. The shooters also injured 26 others before turning against them.

The two students wore the same clothes as Harris and Klebold on the day of mass shooting, WHAS-TV reported. Students were not named.

Social media posts appeared to show the two girls reproducing moments of the shot, with pictures side by side next to their real photos.

The director of Adair County Schools, Pamela Stephens, said in a statement that the two students had been suspended while waiting for an investigation.

"We take the situation very seriously and our staff continues to investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this case," Stephens said in a statement. "The students are currently suspended."

Amy Tarter, a parent of a student who attends school, told WHAS-TV that it would have been necessary to do more.

"It's ridiculous, I think every child who does it should be expelled and every parent who [support] their child [doing that] Charges should be laid against them, "said Tarter.
