Two men were shot dead Monday morning in the Farmington Hills apartment complex, said Farmington Hills police in a statement.

One of the men died as a result of his injuries. The other should recover.

Police said a preliminary investigation had revealed that the men had been shot from outside the Farmington Hills Apartments, through a sliding glass door.

The shooting was "not random," police said, calling the investigation "murder investigation." They arrived at the scene at approximately 01:12, in response to "numerous 911 calls".
