A family in Wentzville, Missouri, mourns the loss of their 2-year-old daughter, who died after being hit by an ice cream truck over the weekend.
The incident occurred around 4 pm. Sunday afternoon after Felicity Karam walked in front of the vehicle after taking an ice cream, reported Fox 2.
Wentzville fire chief John Schneider said the girl was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but died later, according to NBC affiliate KSDK.
At this time, no charges have been laid against the truck driver, but the investigation is ongoing, according to a statement issued by the Wentzville Police Department.

Stan Stnav, the president of the ice cream truck company Cool Times Ice, addressed the accident in a statement obtained by KSDK.
"Our hearts go to the family of the little girl who died in this tragic accident in Wentzville yesterday."
"We are a family-owned family ice cream company and we serve thousands of ice cream cones every day to children and their parents throughout the region and we often meet our customers.
"We are particularly sorry. We have never had such an accident and deeply share the pain of this family. "
The Karam family has created a Go Fund Me page hoping to raise funds to cover Felicity's funeral expenses.

"My sister and my brother lost their greatest two-year-old today," wrote her aunt, Rachel Zeik.
"She will be missed a lot. She was the fourth girl out of five. She took us very quickly by the tragic accident with the ice truck. His smile and personality will be remembered forever. If you like it, remember our sweet bliss.
