Texas A & M linebacker Tyrel Dodson said his coach, Jimbo Fisher, "made the right choice" by punishing him in Saturday's game against Arkansas.

The ESPN cameras caught Fisher grabbing Dodson's face mask and pushing him away after Dodson had a fight with an Arkansas player at the end of the third quarter.

"Learn to put your pride aside and stay on the sidelines," Fisher said after the match. "There's no reason to go out there and push and do stupid things out there when you're stuck in a game.

"I was just trying to make a point: I do not want you to fight, play the game, shut your mouth, and keep going."

The incident sparked criticism on social networks, but Dodson posted on Twitter after the match that he was in agreement with what had happened.

Texas A & M is imposed 24-17 at the AT & T stadium in Arlington, Texas. Dodson had three tackles for the Aggies.

"I do not need it [Dodson] pushing and pushing there and getting thrown out of the game, "Fisher said.[I told him]"I need you, partner. If I'm going to win this game, I need Dodson. "
