NEW YORK – MMAjunkie was on site and reported live on the first official UFC 230 hunter weigh.
The first weighings took place at the UFC host hotel in New York and preceded the ceremonial weighings for fans, which take place at 6 pm. AND at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. Attached Madison Square Garden hosts Saturday's event, which features a pay-as-you-go card following the preliminary matches of FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (21-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) and challenger Derrick Lewis (21-5 MMA, 12-3 UFC) clashed in the main event of the championship.
Some fighters lost weight for the card, including Sijara Eubanks (3-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who had already been chosen to make the title in the middleweight title fight.
