Cormier recently said that he was supposed to have a try with the giants fighting for a spot on the comments desk.
However, the lawsuit was postponed after he agreed to face Derrick Lewis at UFC 230, which took place last weekend.
DC beat Lewis at Madison Square Garden via a submission with a throttle in the back. He seems ready to go to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando for his test.
The UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion revealed that it would be a dream to become a reality if working with the WWE since he was watching the fight since he was a kid.
Cormier said Busted Open Radio: "They [WWE] Call me. They reached out to my assistant. They called me to go to Orlando, Florida.
"I had a tentative date, but I could not get to that date.Afterwards, they asked me to come back but they were on tour for a month, and I was like, I want to do it with the whole team comment.
"I do not want [to do it with] a guy here and a guy over there because I wanted to see who I'm mingling with. So they said, "OK, we'll schedule it in November."
"And then I took this [UFC 230] fight and then he was pushed back. We will come back to that.
"I'm going to Orlando at the Performance Center to do my job to see how it works.
"I am very passionate about wrestling. I watched it all my life.
"You can watch YouTube and see my reaction to Seth Rollins' victory at WWE [Championship at WrestleMania 31].
"That's what I like to do. Since I was a kid, I like to watch the fight and it's a bit like a dream to be able to do something like that in the future. "
Cormier looks set to defend the heavyweight title against WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar in Octagon sometime next year.
Rumors suggest that their fight could take place at UFC 233 on January 26 at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
The two-division champion scoffed at Lesnar after beating Lewis while he told him to bring the World Championship back with him so he could win it as well.
