UFC news: Conor McGregor goes to Las Vegas to train

Conor McGregor will spend the next two weeks in Las Vegas training at the UFC Performance Institute.

The Irishman returns to the Octagon on Oct. 6 and will face lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in his first MMA bout for almost two years.

Nurmagomedov took control of the lightweight division during McGregor's absence, and the two men had a face-to-face encounter at the first press conference in New York.

McGregor targeted the character of Nurmagomedov, his father and his legacy in a tense exchange of words between the two bitter rivals.

But with media obligations fulfilled, McGregor and his team of coaches went to Vegas to train there for the next two weeks.

Owen Roddy, McGregor's hitter coach, gave his fans a glimpse of training with his regular Vlog series in front of UFC 229, while F.A.S.T. The conditioning team toured the leased mansion for the team.

McGregor and co. They usually train at their Dublin base at SBG Ireland, but will benefit from PI's state-of-the-art facilities.

The PI is free for all UFC fighters and offers recovery, medical and workout facilities at the entire list.
