AUBURN, Alabama (AP) – Cole Tracy scored 42 shots against the No. 7 Auburn on Saturday in the opening match of the Southeast Conference.
Joe Burrow led the LSU (3-0) on the field in the final minutes with clutch games and two interference against Auburn (2-1). This allowed Tracy to reach her goal on the field almost in the middle of the field and sent the LSU players to the field to celebrate.
Burrow hit Derrick Dillon over the extended arms of linebacker Auburn Deshaun Davis for a 71-yard touchdown at 8:18. Burrow's two-point attempt failed, leaving Auburn 21-19.
The LSU's defense insisted on creating another chance with 5:38 to play. The result was a 14-yard, 52-yard course. A call ban against Jeremiah Dinson on the third and eleventh kept the player alive. Then Burrow hit Stephen Sullivan for 9 yards on fourth and seventh place to keep the attack on the ground.
Burrow defended himself against Jarrett Stidham. He completed 15 of 34 passes for 249 yards and Justin Jefferson gained 97 yards on five catches.
Stidham was 16 of 28 for 198 yards and a touchdown, but launched two interceptions. JaTarvious Whitlow ran for 104 yards in 22 carries.
Anders Carlson, of Auburn, missed a 52-yard left tackle attempt with nearly 13 minutes.

Chandler Cox expects this Auburn-LSU game to be bloody and intense, as usual.
The H-back for the Auburn No. 7 is the norm for the rivalry with the number 12 LSU and sees no reason that Saturday's showdown be different.
"It's always hot, it's always sweaty, always bloody," Cox said. "It's one of those games that's a bloodbath, we'll have to wait."
The winner of the first big clash between SEC West could emerge as the most likely challenger to No. 1 Alabama in a division with four Top 25 teams and two more receiving votes.
Choices and forecasts for week 3
Auburn (2-0, 0-0 Southeast Conference) and LSU (2-0, 0-0) have already won victories on teams ranked in the Top 10 at the time. LSU then beats-No. 8 Miami and Auburn leading then-No. 6 Washington, followed by predictable defeats of the outclassed opponents.
For Auburn, the memories are fresh from the head 20-0. LSU won this game 27-23, and guard Garrett Brumfield reminded his team of what was expected shortly after a win over southeastern Louisiana.
"He told us how good the Auburn match was," said Grant Delpit. "He said that we could not take it for granted that we would win this game simply because we won the first two games and he told us that we needed to get shot last year."
These games can be bloody, but they are rarely boring. The last visit of the LSU to Jordan-Hare Stadium ended with a seemingly winning touchdown because the time had passed before the end of the match. A day later, the LSU fired coach Les Mile and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
Auburn is a 10-point favorite in this one.
"It's a better football team than Miami, we know it," said LSU coach Ed Orgeron. "It's a great rivalry for the LSU Tigers – it's the game of the SEC – it's a physical football – we'll have to beat them."

OLD BUCKEYES
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Auburn cornerback Jamel Dean signed with Ohio State in 2015. Burrow is a graduate transfer while Dean left after being disqualified for a knee injury.
"I'm pretty sure if he felt what I was feeling, he probably would have a chip on the shoulder and he will probably want to prove to Ohio State why he should have played it," Dean said.
TURNOVER BATTLE
LSU is one of six nationwide teams with no sales figures, a series that has lasted 15 quarters. Auburn's defense recorded four interceptions against the league while Stidham did not throw one. Auburn lost four fumbles against the state of Alabama, mainly through the reserves.
SACK PARTY
LSU, Auburn and Vanderbilt are tied for the SEC with nine sacks. Eight Auburn defenders have registered at least one. Big Kat Bryant from Auburn and Delpit from LSU both have a pair of bags.
THE SOFTNESS OF THE HOME
The local team has won 16 of the last 18 games. Auburn was much better at Jordan-Hare, curing a series of 13 home wins that included wins against No-No. Georgia and Alabama last season.
"I think it will give us an advantage on the pitch, because when we play Jordan-Hare, we have the mentality that we do not lose at home," Dean said.
